Darlington Lions Club
Additional Info:
The Club meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at Taki's Diner, 609 Pearl St.
When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it's a beautiful thing-and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That's Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It's 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
The Darlington Lions Club has several ongoing projects including mission trips to Africa, collection of old eyeglasses, and more. Fundraisers include a Vidalia onion sale in the spring and sale of brooms year-round.
Other projects include Sight 4 Mozambique, Hearing Aid Bank, collaboration with the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and more.
