The Darlington Lions Club just completed eye tests of all the schools in Darlington County, including roughly 2,000 students in Darlington! Beth Hubbard started the project two years ago, pre-COVID, and the Lions provided the eye exams at no charge to students. For those unable to afford needed eyeglasses, the Lions assisted filing the paperwork with Medicaid to get those children the glasses they needed. Great job Lions!
The SC Homeowner Rescue Program (SC HRP) is a federally funded program established to provide financial assistance to eligible homeowners experiencing pandemic-related financial hardship beginning after January 21, 2020. Boiler Efficiency Institute Virtual Workshop: HVAC Improvement will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 and May 19 online. The objective of this course is to develop the participants' abilities to recognize cost-saving measures in HVAC equipment/operation and then to implement the necessary changes to realize these savings. Darlington City Hall has reopened to the public at a limited capacity. Hours of operation remain 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
