Enterprise Zone retraining funds available for some manufacturers
In response to the COVID-19 situation, a number of manufacturers have modified operations to now produce things needed to fight the virus, i.e., hand sanitizers, masks, etc. If your manufacturing organization is doing this, you are most likely eligible for Enterprise Zone retraining funds to help support training on new technology or processes for incumbent workers.
The E-Zone program saves manufacturers approximately 2/3 of their training costs, and delivers a check to the employer, which is a rebate on their state withholding taxes.
