Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School heads to state football championship Saturday. The Titans extended their winning streak to 13 games and will play Hilton Head Christian in the SCISA Class 2A state championship game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Charles W. Johnson Stadium at Benedict College in Columbia.

Arbor Day: The City of Darlington Tree Board and Darlington Garden Club will hold its Annual Arbor Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at 1336 S. Main St. Park at CVS and walk to see the seven Yoshino Cherry trees planted in the first phase of the South Main Street Tree Project.

Festival of Trees: Decorators. Donate a decorated tree or wreath for the 3rd Annual Festival of Trees to fund Black Creek Arts Council's Art Education Program. Use your creativity and imagination to decorate the coolest tree. Show off your group, business or any theme you like. All will be judged for the People's Choice award and the winner will receive a prize and bragging rights for the year.
